Are Naturella pads and their composition safe?
Yes, our pads can be used safely. Since its launch, NATURELLA focus has been caring for your skin, and that begins with your safety.
Will your pads irritate the skin?
No, our pads should not cause irritation to the skin. All our products go through rigorous safety assessments to ensure they are safe for use.
Are scented pads safe? Won’t they be irritating and make me itch down there?
Your safety is at the centre of everything we do, so our scented products are safe for use. We select materials, including the fragrance in our scented products, which are not irritating and do not cause itching when used in a pad. Additionally, the fragrance used in our pads and liners meet the strict safety standards set by the International Fragrance Association, the world’s leading authority on fragrance safety. We recommend our unscented pads, Naturella Cotton Protection, for women who prefer fragrance-free products or who may already have allergies or sensitivities to fragrances.
Why aren’t your pads made of 100% cotton?
Our products meet rigorous safety and effectiveness standards, regardless of what they are made from. Every women and flow is different and so we believe in providing a choice of product.

Is there chlorine bleach in pads?
No, our materials are purified using an elemental chlorine-free purification process.
Why is any bleaching done on pads?
Our suppliers use an elemental chlorine-free process to purify the cellulose fibers used in our products. Purification eliminates natural impurities and cleans the fibers to make them ready for production. Whitening the fibers is a result of this process, but not its goal.
I’ve heard talk that pads contain toxic amounts of dioxin. Is this true?
No, the fiber purification involves an elemental chlorine-free process which does not cause the production of dioxin. Before the 1990s, elemental chlorine was used in one step of the purification process. This method is no longer used because trace amount of pollutants, like dioxins, were formed. Today, pulp and cotton are purified using an elemental chlorine free process or totally chlorine free process, and neither process forms dioxins.
Do you have toxic dyes in your pads?
No, we do not. Pigments that are used in some of our pads have been rigorously assessed by scientists, health care providers and authoritative bodies to assure they can be used safely.
How do you assure your products are safe?
